Two Empire white painted and parcel-gilt side chairs
circa 1805 bearing inventory marks for the Chateau de Fontainebleau
each with a rectangular padded backrest, raised on turned and sabre legs.  One with the estampille for Fontainebleau and the following inked inventory numbers: F13324 (in black) and F18134 (in red), with another set of indecipherable numbers and a paper label inscribed in black ink Fontainebleau No 1001.  The second chair also with the Fontainebleau estampille and with inventory numbers: F9175, F5906 (in black); 233? (in blue); F4533 (in red) and partial number 95 also in red, and with a paper label inscribed in black 9175/4.
