  • Probably Pierre Lamberton, recorded working in Paris, rue St. Honoré, 1772. 
  • height 31 in.; width 15 in.
  • 79 cm; 38 cm
the white enamelled dial inscribed Lamberton à Paris, contained within a shaped, tapered case, surmounted by an urn flanked by rams' heads and hung with laurel swags, with a leaf-cast berried knop.

An identical clock made circa 1770 is in Schloss Nymphenberg, illustrated Ottomeyer, Pröschel, et al., Vergoldete Bronzen, Munich, 1986, Vol. I, p. 182, no. 3.8.1.   The design by Delafosse, demonstrating different options for the left hand and right hand sides of the case, is conserved in Waddesdon Manor, illustrated, op.cit. no. 3.8.2.
