Catalogue Note

This table was presumably made by a descendant of the German cabinet maker Matthjis Horrix who settled in The Hague in 1760, and who was commissioned to supply furniture in the fashionable French style to the Royal court at the time of the marriage of Prince William V and Princess Wilhelmina in 1767.
