Description

  • length of meat dish 12 1/4 in.
  • 31.1 cm
the meat dish with canted corners painted in the center with two ladies on a balustraded terrace, the rim with panels of butterflies on a seeded ground with peonies, all within a faux gadrooned border; the jug painted with birds perched amongst flowering branches, the rims with a turquoise-ground diaper border reserved with floral panels, hinged cover with later mounts. Minor restoration and wear.

Condition

Platter: has a fine 2 in. haricrack running in from the rim at 8 o'clock. Otherwise in good condition with just very minor fritting to the rim edges. Jug: the enamels on the top of the cover are badly rubbed/scratched. The projecting lip that covers the spout is restored. The jug itself is in good condition.
