A LONDON DELFTWARE 'TULIP' CHARGER CIRCA 1670

  • diameter 14 1/2 in.
  • 36.8 cm
painted with tulips and rosettes issuing from a mound amidst an array of foliage within a yellow rim and blue dash border. Restored.

Condition

The charger has been broken into four or five large pieces, one of the breaks extending through the center. It has been restored back together, with considerable overpainting to the decoration, and completely oversprayed.
