the uppermost drawer stamped MORANT & CO. 91 NEW BOND ST. LONDON, fitted with a baize-lined panel sliding back to reveal a retractable mirror on an easel support flanked by lidded compartments, all over three graduated drawers, the sides fitted with brass carrying handles; inked inscription to underside of second drawer 00999 / £ 14-14. Restored, repairs and later block to back left foot.
Condition
Good restored condition, replacements to veneers, age cracks to top with slight tearing to veneers, later braces to underside to stabilize top, top drawer lacking some boxes and lids, later patches to drawer dividers at ends, patches to drawer dividers above locks, handles to sides possibly later, drawers now lined with contact paper, cut to molding of base at back left side above foot, front right foot with age crack, minor age cracks to sides.
