Description

  • height of bottle carrier 13 in.; width 11 1/4 in. (square); height of cellaret 25 1/2 in.; width 12 1/4 in.
  • 33 cm; 28.6 cm; 64.8 cm; 31.2 cm
the square case with four sliding panels opening to baize-lined interiors, fitted with a brass bail handle.  Together with a George III inlaid mahogany octagonal cellaret, now fitted with a brass liner.  2 pieces.

Condition

Bottle carrier in good condition, nice faded mahogany, old marks and scratches, small areas of black spotting to corners; cellaret in good restored condition with later brass liner, chain to lid later, interior now lined with baize, the lid formerly fitted with a handle at front, side handles possibly later, old marks and scratches, chips and dents to feet.
