comprising eight side chairs, each backrail respectively stamped I - VIII and all with the stamped initials TB.

Condition

Overall in good condition, re-polished surface, some old marks, scratches and bruises, one chair with replaced front right leg now with graining, another chair with repaired split to back right leg now with an infilled plug, L shaped age crack to top of front left leg, another chair with repaired break to right side of cresting rail, repaired chip to back of left stile at join with cresting rail, another chair with repaired break to top of front left leg at join with front and left side with seven plugs.

One of a matched pair of hall chairs stamped TB and attributed to Thomas and George Seddon, circa 1820, was sold, Christie's, London, March 4, 2004, lot 55.  A set of ten George IV mahogany dining chairs, some stamped TB, was sold, Sotheby's, London, September 10, 2007, lot 245.
