Description
- each 98cm. high, 90cm. wide, 60cm. deep; 3ft. 2½in., 2ft. 11½in., 1ft. 11½in.
each with a rectangular padded back above padded down-scrolled arms and bowed padded loose cushion seat, the moulded frame carved with twisted-ribbon, beading and acanthus leaves, on leaf carved fluted tapering legs; regilded ; both bearing the stamp J.B. Boulard and with the fleur-de-lys stamp of Louis Philippe
Condition
Colour of gilding slightly darker overall more natural and attractive in photograph. Some very minor wear to gilding especially to arms. Old very minor marks, chips and scratches commensurate with normal use. Joints sound and sturdy. Very attractive detail to carved decoration. An attractive pair of marquises in good restored condition.
