Description

with a square top, the borders with a trapezoid inlaid with griffins flanking an urn, the angles inlaid with a pyramid enclosing stylised foliage, on square tapering legs

Condition

Colour overall less yellow with more contrast between various woods and much more attractive than in the catalogue photograh. There are three construction cracks across the top as visible from the catalogue illustration, one of which has been filled in the past. Attractive detail to marquetry with some hairline splits which do not detract from piece. This table has a mechanism which releases the top and is pushed open with a cut out recess and the underside of the top has been later lined with material. A good example of the Maggiolini workshop and in overall good condition. Measurements: H = 66.5; W= 82.5; D= 82.5
