- 86cm. high, 79cm. wide, 46cm. deep; 2ft. 9¾in., 2ft. 7in., 1ft. 6in.
in the manner of B.V.R.B., the fall-front top inlaid with 'C' and 'S' scroll cartouches opening to reveal an inset leather writing surface with three short drawers above a slide enclosing a recess, on cabriole legs terminating in gilt-bronze scrolled feet, the whole with gilt-bronze banding and mounts cast with flowers, acanthus and rocaille and inlaid with bois de bout marquetry
Condition
Very minor rubbing to gilt-bronze mounts, which show a red residue in places. Very nice detail to marquetry which has some very minor cracquelure and old very minor restored splits, but this has been very well executed and is hardly noticeable. Very minor sections of veneer bordering the fall front are missing. In overall very good condition and can be placed immediately.
