Description

  • 75cm. high, 89cm. wide, 49cm. deep; 2ft. 4½in., 2ft. 11in., 1ft. 7¼in.
with a gilt-bronze-banded arc-en-arbalète top inlaid with a cartouche with ribbon-tied musical trophies amongst flowers, flanked on either side by floral sprays, above a similarly inlaid serpentine frieze drawer, on cabriole legs, terminating in gilt-bronze scrolled feet

Condition

Gilt-bronze mounts slightly dirty and would benefit from a light clean according to taste. The wood is a little dry looking especially to legs and back and would benefit from a repolish. Very attractive detail to marquetry. There is a hairline crack and other minor cracks and cracquelure generally commensurate with age which can easily be filled. Old minor marks chips and scratches commensurate with age. The piece is very nicely made with a walnut lined drawer. There has been some very minor shrinkage to the top leaving a very small gap between the banding and the top. In overall good condition. Very attractive table which can be placed immediately.
