Description
- each 95cm. high, 130cm. wide, 72cm. deep; 3ft. 1¼in., 4ft. 3in. 2ft. 4½ .
one with a serpentine moulded mottled breccia marble top, the other with a modern faux marbre top, above a pair of cupboard doors enclosing a shelf, the doors inlaid with octagonal trelliswork with strapwork at the angles, on scrolled feet with later gilt-bronze mounts throughout
Condition
The colour overall is less orange and slightly darker with more contrast and more attractive. The marble top has been restored and has some small gouges. There are some hairline construction cracks in the doors where there has been shrinkage of the panels resulting in some damage to the veneer as visible from the photograph, which can easily be restored. Reveneered. The mounts are later. Some very minor losses to the veneer. Internal locks have been replaced. In need of some minor attention. Highly unusual. In overall good condition.
