Condition

Colour of gilding and painting slightly darker and more attractive than in the catalogue photograph. Old minor marks, chips and scratches commensurate with age and hairline splits and cracks in the veneer which are hardly noticeable as visible from the catalogue photograph. The painting and gilding on the eagles has been refreshed. The triangular wooden support beneath the jardinière section, possibly a later replacement. The base has been strengthened underneath and shows evidence of having had feet in the past.An unusual piece in overall good restored condition.
