Illustration is quite true. Colours possibly very slightly cooler in person. Impression generally close. Full pile, substantial amount of glue on reverse.

This Savonnerie is a late 19th century rendering of a carpet designed by Pierre-Josse Perrot, first woven in 1745; several examples were produced, particularly for the royal Garde-Meuble, including for use in Louis XV's Cabinet and the Chapel at Versailles, see Savonnerie, The James A. de Rothschild Collection at Waddesdon Manor, London, 1982, Fig.54.  This example is in the typical pastel colouring favoured in the late 19th and early 20th century, for the style of decoration known as 'goût Rothschild'.
