Condition

STRUCTURE The canvas has been lined. PAINT SURFACE The painting appears to be in good original condition. There is some surface dirt which gives the painting a yellow colour to the sky, and the painting would clean well. There is a fine and even cracquelure characteristic of age. ULTRAVIOLET Ultraviolet light reveals a very small amount of light re-touching to the foliage, centre left. FRAME Held in a gilt wood frame.
