Condition
STRUCTURE
The canvas has been lined.
PAINT SURFACE
The painting appears to be in very good condition with only occasional very minor surface marks which would clean off easily.
ULTRAVIOLET
Examination under ultraviolet light reveals an area of re-touching in the upper right hand corner. There are some very small touches of infilling to lines of craquelure on the sitter's face. There are some minor scattered re-touchings in the background. There is evidence of some older re-touching to the sitter's costume.

Held in the original gilt plaster frame.
