Condition

STRUCTURE The canvas has a solid board backing. PAINT SURFACE The general appearance is good. There is an even cracquelure consistent with age. There is some surface dirt which could be cleaned off easily. There are some light abrasive marks on the extreme left hand edge of the canvas. There is a vertical line to the lower right of the canvas, which is not immediately noticeable. ULTRAVIOLET Ultraviolet light reveals some light general re-touching to the background and to her front. Two small spots of re-touching can be seen under UV upper centre and lower centre. Otherwise in good presentable condition. FRAME Held in a gilt wood frame.
