STRUCTURE
Original canvas.
PAINT SURFACE
There is even cracquelure throughout the painting with some concentrated areas of cracquelure to the centre right. There are minor stretcher marks along the edges of the canvas. There is some surface dirt and there are a few surface marks.
ULTRAVIOLET
Ultraviolet light reveals no repair work or re-touching.

Held in a gilt wood frame.

Catalogue Note
The sitter was the daughter and sole heir of Richard Bellings-Arundell of Lanherne Cornwall and his wife Anne Gage. On 27th January 1739 she married Henry Arundell, Baron Arundell of Wardour.
