  • Portrait of Miss Hope
  • oil on canvas, in a painted oval
Half length, wearing a dark green dress decorated with flowers, with a white blouse

Provenance

Condition

The canvas has been lined. The work would appear to be in generally very good condition. There is a horizontal line of craquelure to the left of the sitter's mouth. There are a few spots of discoloured varnish. Examination under ultraviolet light reveals a thick varnish which obscures a clear reading. The work is unframed.
