Exhibited

The original watercolour, H.M.S. Herald and a feejeean canoe, 1855, 19 by 30.1 cm, and a hand-coloured lithograph, The Herald in Feejee, are in the collection of the National Library of Australia, Canberra.

The Herald in Feejee was used for the cover of composer John D. Macdonald's. The Herald Waltzes, Allan & Wigley, Sydney between 1858 and 1861.  

Condition

Paper quite yellowed with signs of foxing. Large crease upper right in the sky, abrasion top centre. This painting is framed under glass.
