An early large canvas by this artist: Water Dreamings are a recurring theme in his work. Tjakamarra, along with Johnny Warangkula Tjupurrula and Old Walter Tjampitjinpa, is a custodian of the storm centre and Water and Rain Dreaming totemic site of Kalipinypa, 300 to 400 kilometres west of Alice Springs. This painting displays the classic desert iconography for Water or Rain Dreamings, the two roundels linked by a series of meanders, representing rain or running water, adjacent to which are series of alternating double bars representing clouds
