Catalogue Note
This painting is sold with an accompanying Papunya Tula Artists certificate that reads in part: 'This painting depics designs associated with the site of Wiyilwiyilnga, a large permanent rockhole site, south of Marawa which is on the western edge of Lake Mackay. In mythological times one large snake travelled west from Lake Mackay passing through this site during its travels to Nyinmi near Jupiter Well. A group of Tingari Men also passed through the site during their travels further east.'
