Condition

Very minor areas of pigment loss. A few small areas of very fine surface cracking and a few small areas of white overpainting, most probably done by the artist. Overall in excellent and stable condition for a bark of this period.

The description on the label on the reverse: 'The top figure is holding the sacred rangga poles which are symbols of power and creation. She will soon give birth to Dua and Jiritja Moiety people, where she will establish a sacred increase country, for the survival and perpetuation of these people. The cane bags on her arms contain magic stones for healing. Lower figure; her younger sister who carries a magic pole to mask out sacred increase sites. She also has magic power bags. She is singing sacred survival and increase songs.'
