carved in hardwood, the front engraved with three raised snakes outlined in relief by linear motifs and concentric squares, wooden peg attached with kangaroo sinew and spinifex gum and the handle with resin attached, the reverse with fine, fluted striations, old shiny patina

One side of the spearthrower 25 cm long and up to 2.5 cm in width has been broken away and reattached by an amateur restorer.
