- Length: 93.5 cm
carved in hardwood, of plano-convex section, the front decorated with fluted zig-zag motifs divided into three sections infilled alternately with red and white pigment, tapering to form pointed ends, the reverse decorated with fluted linear striations and painted with red pigment, with raised handle

Condition
The timber of this shield appears relatively dry and brittle and there are many areas particuarly to the edges and ends which appear to have been lost, most probably due to use. There is a small crack from the point at one end approximatley 6 cm long.
