- Length: 77 cm
carved in hardwood, of elongated ovoid form, the front finely engraved, with fluted linear designs seperated by broad bands, divided into three sections to create a zig-zag motif, infilled alternately in areas with red and white pigment, the reverse replete with adze markings and four small areas of linear engraving and traces of red ochre

Condition
The shield appears in good condition with no repair or restoration, although there is significant pigment loss particuarly from the front.
