Description

  • Length: 78 cm
of elongated kidney-shaped form, the front with central slightly raised boss, decorated with totemic designs in red, yellow and white pigments, outlined in black, with some battle scars from clubs and spears, the reverse with slightly raised lug handle

Condition

In very good condition for a shield of this type and age. Pigment is faded and scuffed though stable and there is evidence of borer being active in the past.
