A highly unusual tondo by Jarinyanu showing Kurtal the Rain Ancestor surrounded by clouds, with bush food on the ground at his feet. The artist has painted the ancestor wearing a tie. As Jarinyanu stated, he always wore a tie when he visited kartiya (white people) and that he painted this Kurtal with a tie because he was bringing him to kartiya.
