Condition
Many areas of pigment loss particuarly to the white dots surrounding the rainbow snake and a number of other areas in the black pigment where the surface is crazed. All these defects were evident when the painting was sold by Sotheby's in 1990, the painting not appearing to have deteriorated since then.
