Catalogue Note

In the late 1940s, Charlotte Perriand assisted in the re-design of a series of hotels in the French Alps.  Hotel Le Duron was a major project for which Perriand designed the space and furniture for the restaurant, bar and guest rooms.  She was so captivated by this area that she later designed a home for herself in Meribel.

Sotheby's would like to thank Pernette Perriand and Jacques Barsac for their assistance in cataloguing the Charlotte Perriand designs in this catalogue.
