Condition

Overall in very good condition. The veneered surfaces throughout with numerous scattered stress fractures to the veneering consistent with natural shrinkage and age. With some light surface scratches and edge abrasions with associated edge losses consistent with age and use. Scattered small losses to veneer especially to outer edges of the frame set just below the table top to one corner where there are three losses about ¼ inch square. On the adjacent side and opposite side, there are two areas of infill and prior restoration, also measuring approximately ¼ inch square. The body of the table with scratches, minor chips, rubbing and nicks and dings. Two of the sides of the table with recessed drawers with notches to open to the underside. Overall a rare piece by Schoen for a significant interior commission.
