Condition

Overall in very good condition consistent with age. The silver plated glass has darkened and shows irregularities as visible in the catalogue illustration. The gilt-bronze with occasional minor surface scratches and a few minor losses to the gilt as well as occasional tiny spots of oxidation. The rope is in good condition and is very strong, it appears to be a later replacement. An elegant and impressive example of Ruhlmann's work.
