Condition
Overall in good condition consistent with age and use, the painted wood overall with losses to the paint and surface scratches as it appears to be the original paint, the side panels with areas of in-paint. The underside has been stabilized by adding a wooden frame under the seat, the upholstery has been re-placed with an orignal Atelier Martine design fabric, overall in stable and good condition.

This chair was designed for the living room of Paul Poiret's houseboat "Amours." The "Amours" was one of Paul Poiret's three houseboats, which were moored at the foot of the Eiffel Tower and open to visitors during the 1925 Paris exhibition.
