Catalogue Note

Loosely based on the original Coade stone lion on Westminster bridge which came for the Lion Brewery, Lambeth, this pair were modelled by Stephen Pettifer who graduated from the City & Guilds of London Art School in 1991.  They were cast in the Phoenix Foundry, Basingstoke and are the third of an edition of eleven pairs.
