Catalogue Note

Gustave Guilbaud was born in 1842 in Nantes and exhibed at the Paris Salon. He died in Paris in 1912.

The brass plaque details an admiral who donated this bust to his flag ship and was Commander in Chief of the British and French Fleets in the Mediterranean in 1914-1915
