cut and painted silks formed to simulate a three dimensional landscape, the sky painted in gouache, within a scrolled giltwood and gilt-gesso glazed box frame

This very fine silkwork may well have been the accompanying picture to another depicting Tobias and The Angel, the two scenes were often companion pieces.
