  • height 238cm
32.5-cm foliate engraved brass dial signed Jaquet horloger Du prince Eveque du Liège, pewter chapter ring with Roman numerals and pierced gilt hands, subsidiary seconds and moonphase in the arch, weight driven three train movement converted to Brocot escapement with Dutch half hour striking on two bells, playing one of two melodies with 16 hammers on 8 bells, later stained oak case with moulded top, break arch glazed door with fluted pilasters, similar pilasters to the trunk with rectangular moulded door raised on an elaborate moulded plinth

Condition

dial tarnished but engraving of good quality, spandrels a little rubbed chapter ring needs to be refitted, replaced seconds hand, movement in working order but very dirty and in need of an overhaul, converted to Brocot escapement in the 19th century, case associated to this movement made second quarter 19th century, in original but slightly dirty condition a little pale at the base, together with three weights and a pendulum
