cal.12-400 damascened jewelled nickel lever movement, bi-metallic compensation balance, precision regulator • silvered dial, applied faceted 'drop' indexes, subsidiary seconds, Dauphine hands • 18k gold case, flat polished bezel • case, dial and movement signed •  with an associated 18k gold woven bracelet

Condition

Very attractive reference. Movement is running, dial with some light spotting and a few small scuffs, printed tracks and signature remain thick and clear. Case has been gently polished in the past, but watch in overall good condition.

Accompanied by an Extract from the Archives confirming production in 1953 and sale on March 27th, 1954.

The present wristwatch is one of only two examples of ref.2450J known from the market; indeed, only four examples from the first series are known.

Ref.2450 monobloc "grande calatrava" was produced in two series:
1948 to 1952        1st series with cal 12 120 (drop index)
1950 to 1953        2nd series with cal 12 400 (drop index, then lap.index)
