Condition
The movement is running. Dial with discolouration and spotting. The case is overall scuffed from wear.

Catalogue Note
Ref.425 was produced from 1934 until 1960 when it was replaced by the larger ref.2461. The model is often referred to as the 'tegolino' which means little tile, in Italian. It remains one of Patek's most popular "shaped" watches. Patek Philippe used the case maker Markowski for the case of this wristwatch. Markowski was Patek's preferred case maker for shaped watches such as refs.2441, 2442 and 2554. Today, approximately 120 yellow gold ref.425 wristwatches are known from the market, of which only 10 are with a diamond set dial.
