A NATURAL PEARL AND DIAMOND NECKLACE

Description

Designed as two rows of graduated natural pearls measuring approximately 8.7 mm to 3.4 mm, to a circular-cut diamond cluster clasp, accompanied by a Report of the Netherlands Gemmological Laboratory no. P4839, stating the pearls to be of natural origin, length shortest row approximately 55 cm (2).

Condition

Estimated diamond weight of two principal circular-cut diamonds 0.90 and 0.85 carat, of L colour and VS2 clarity; and of Cape colour and VS2 clarity, strong fluorescence, as graded/measured in the mount, in our expert's opinion. Remaining diamond weight approximately 0.75 carat. Accompanied by a Report of the Nederlands Edelsteen Laboratorium, dated 4th April 2007, stating the 202 button-shaped, round and oval-shaped pearls of a tinted white colour, decreasing from approximately 8.7 mm to 3.4 mm, are natural. Gross weight of necklace is 38.50 grams. Pearls with very few pitting and good lustre. Safety catch to the clasp. Length approximately 55 cm. Stamped to the clasp Pt for platinum and 585 for 14 carat gold. Please note that the necklace needs restringing, is broken at present.
