A RUBY AND DIAMOND DEMI PARURE

The necklace decorated to the front with three faceted ruby and single-cut diamond clusters, length approximately 40.5 cm; the bracelet decorated to the front with three cabochon ruby, circular- and single-cut diamond clusters between diamond plaques, length approximately 18 cm; together with a pair of similarly-set pendent earrings (4).

Composite parure. Earrings for pierced ears, stamped 585 for 14 carat gold. Rubies measure 7.9 x 6.9 x 5.25mm and 7.6 x 6.7 x 4.4, inclusions visible, some surface reaching, lively stones, pinkish-red hue, medium colour saturation. Good condition, very little wear. The necklace is stamped 750 for 18 carat gold. Rubies measure 6.9 x 6.2 x 2.7mm, 6.9 x 7.9 x 3.4mm and 6.75 x 6.2 x 3mm, inclusions seen without aid of a 10x lens, well matched overall in colour, pinkish-red hue, medium colour saturation. 28g approx gross weight. Good overall condition, some signs of wear consistent with age and use. The bracelet is stamped 950 for platinum and 585 for 14 carat gold. Rubies measure approx. 6.9 x 5.5 x 3.9mm , 8.2 x 5.9 x 4.9mm and 7.4 x 5.7 x 4.9mm, well matched in colour, lively stones, pinkish-red hues, typical inclusions. Bracelet shows very little signs of wear. Good condition.
