Diamond necklace, mid 19th century

The graduated row set with 72 old-mine diamonds within crimped collets, altogether weighing approximately 9.50 carats, together with a detachable pendant hook set with 3 small old-mine diamonds, mounted in gold and silver, length 14 ½ inches.  With fitted box signed Mallett, Bath.

Overall good condition. The diamonds are approximately I-J color and mostly SI clarity, a few VS and I stones. Several diamonds have small girdle chips. The mounting is slightly tarnished. There is a retractable pendant loop in the center.
