A PAIR OF PEARL AND DIAMOND PENDENT EARRINGS AND A PEARL AND DIAMOND BROOCH, LATE 19TH CENTURY

Description

Each earring set with a circular-cut diamond surmount suspending two lines of articulated collet-set circular-cut stones, each terminating on a larger similarly-cut diamond and a pearl, accompanied by a brooch designed as a tied bow set throughout with circular-cut and cushion-shaped diamonds, the articulated ribbons each terminating in a pearl.

Condition

Pair of ear pendants: Mounted in silver and gold. Estimated total diamond weight approximately 4.0 - 4.5 carats, the principal stones spread at approximately 0.50 and 0.85 carats respectively, estimated colour I-K, estimated clarity SI-I. The pearls well matched in size and shape measuring approximately 6.0 mm, with rosé overtones, medium lustre, slightly textured surface. Well articulated. Some small repairs to reverse of links, not visible when worn. Brooch: Mounted in silver and gold. Estimated total diamond weight approximately 3.5 - 4.5 carats, bright, lively stones throughout. Pearls well matched in size and shape, with rosé overtones, medium to high lustre. Please note the pearls are drilled right through. Later pin fitting, original detachable brooch fitting deficient. Suspension loop. Tarnished and with scratches consistent with age and use. In very good condition.
