Description

The oval cufflinks applied with a Royal coronet and monogram 'G M', representing the initials of King George V and his wife Mary, with a red guilloché enamel background to a white enamel border of stylised ermine design, case by Longman & Strongi'th'arm Ld. by appointment and Widdowson & Veale, 13 Dover Street, Piccadilly, W1, together with a brooch/pendant of similar design, fitted case by Collingwood and Co, to the Royal Family, 46 Conduit St. London.

Provenance

These pieces would have probably been gifted to the original owner by way of a Royal presentation.

Condition

Some minor damage to the white enamel to the cufflinks and to the red enamel on one link, scratches to polished metal consistent with wear. In our opinion these cufflinks have been put together from two separate pairs of cufflinks as they differ very slightly on close inspection. The enamel work to the brooch/pendant in very good condition, coloured enamels to the coronet. Slight tarnish and scratching to reverse consistent with age and wear. In good condition.
