Description
Designed as a dragonfly, its wings, thorax and tail set with circular-cut and cushion-shaped diamonds, its eyes embellished with cabochon rubies, detachable brooch fitting, hair pin deficient, later fitted case.

Condition
Estimated total diamond weight approximately 10.0 - 12.0 carats, of mixed colours and clarities. The principal cushion-shaped stone measuring approximately 6.5mm x 5.9mm x 4.4mm, estimated to weigh approximately 1.40 carats, estimated colour I/J, estimated clarity SI1, a feather to the upper left hand side noticeable only with magnification. The cabochon ruby eyes with some surface cavities and typical inclusions visible with a 10x lens. Detachable brooch fitting. Some signs of slight discolouration and oxidisation to the metal to the tips of the wings and to the reverse. Light scratches to mount consistent with age and wear. Signs of an old repair to reverse of left upper leg, not visible when worn. In very good condition.
