CORAL, JADEITE, AGATE AND SILVER ASHTRAYS, CARTIER, CIRCA 1925

The four silver stacking ashtrays designed to slot over a pair of vertical rods in coral and silver with jadeite bead finials, to a square agate base, measurements approximately: height 42mm, width 73mm, each ashtray measuring approximately 52mm x 54mm x 9mm, signed Cartier Paris and numbered, two ashtrays also signed Cartier Paris, French assay marks.

French assay marks for silver, to each ashtray and to stand. Some light scratching to each ashtray consistent with use. Rubbed signatures for Cartier Paris on two of the ashtrays. The vertical rods composed of three and two coral sections respectively with characteristic structure lines, well matched in colour, a few very small chips, each with a small crack and traces of dirt. The jadeite cabochons well matched in size and colour, with a grainy surface only visible with magnification. Agate base with chipped corners to the underside, signed Cartier Paris and numbered 0265. In very good condition.
