Description

Comprising: a gold lipstick case, of reeded design, embellished with a lapis lazuli and turquoise rotating catch, British hallmarks, maker's marks for Cartier London.  A gold lipstick case, of fluted design, embellished with a cabochon ruby rotating catch, signed Cartier London, British hallmarks and a leather carrying case.  A gold lighter, of textured design, signed Cartier London, British hallmarks, maker's marks.  A gold pomander of circular reeded design, signed Cartier London and numbered, British hallmarks for London, 1939, maker's marks.  A lipstick case of basket weave design, signed Boucheron, British import marks for London, 1965.

Condition

Cartier lipstick cases, lighter and pomander all with hallmarks for 9 carat gold, the Boucheron lipstick case with hallmarks for 18 carat gold. Turquoise an intense blue with some pinkish red lipstick residue present in setting, lapis lazuli with characteristic pyrite flecks, hallmarks and maker's marks to bottom, Pat App. For engraved to underside of lid, light scratching consistent with use. Cabochon ruby chipped with several surface reaching inclusions. Pat App. For to underside of lid, signed Cartier London to inside edge of lid, scratches and small indentations consistent with age and use, with green leather carrying case a little discoloured, small splits to top edge. Lighter some slight tarnish visible to outside, signature to inside. Pomander is quite stiff to open, light scratches to case, signed to the inside rim, numbered 3104, sponge to interior a little discoloured from scent, a spare sponge together with lot. Final case signed Boucheron to base, numbered 5693, light scratching. All pieces in very good condition.
