DIAMOND PENDANT NECKLACE/BROOCH/HAIR ORNAMENT, CIRCA 1900

In the Garland style of open work design, the centre composed of a spray of circular-cut diamonds within a rose-cut diamond frame embellished with ribbons bows, suspending a larger millegrain collet-set circular-cut diamond drop, chain length approximately 430mm, numbered, accompanied by fittings and tool for conversion into a brooch and a hair ornament, fitted case by P. Mellerio, Paris.

Estimated total diamond weight approximately 3.5 - 4.5 carats, bright, lively stones, the principal diamond spreads at approximately 1.0 carat, estimated colour J, estimated clarity I2, with some surface cavities. Chain fitting removable from pendant. Some evidence of small repairs to reverse and to swing drop, not visible when worn. Frame a little scratched consistent with age and wear. In very good condition.
