Description
Designed as a cockatoo, its beak and feet embellished with polished carved coral, its face and tail feathers with brilliant-cut diamonds, its eye with a collet-set oval ruby, maker's marks for Kutchinsky, British hallmarks for London, 1975, case by Kutchinsky, London.
Condition
Stamped 750 for 18 carat gold. Diamond weight stated to be 3.5 carats, bright, lively stones. The ruby stated to weigh 0.70 carats is a medium slightly purplish red with typical inclusions visible with a 10x lens, cavities to the surface visible to the naked eye. The coral strong orange colour, displaying typical banding and growth patterns. Traces of glue to reverse behind coral. Estimated to weigh approximately 55.0 grams. In very good condition.
